JOHNNIE TO KEI-FUNG

Director and producer, Johnnie To is a typical man of the hk cinematographic system. With less talent than Tsui hark, but with more smoothness than Wong Jing (what is not too difficult), he managed to impose a style which mixes commercial requirements with his ambitions which largely exceed those of most of the hk productions. Even if his story is chaotic, sometimes opportunist, sometimes daring, it remains yet gripping.
