Christy Chung : Jury member of the 5th
edition
Christy Chung (Chung Lai-Tai) is not only a model and an actress but she's been a
spokesperson for various companies all over Asia. She was born in 19 September 1970 in
Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where French is the official language. Her parents are
Vietnamese of Chinese origin. She lived and studied in Quebec. That's why she is a native
French speaker, but she also speaks English and Vietnamese. She had to learn Cantonese and
Mandarin as well in order to work in HK and all over Asia. She was married from 1997 to
1999. She is now divorced and has a 5-year-old child.
Christy Chung won the 1992 beauty pageant
and became Miss Chinese International 1992. Since 1993, Christy has appeared in various
types of films with some of the most prestigious stars and directors from Hong-Kong: Jet
Li, Lau Ching Wan, Tony Leung, Yuen Woo Ping, Stephen Chow Sing-chi
She released a hot photo album (Feel...Christy Chung)
and she posed half naked for Singapore FHM magazine (For Him Magazine). She was
voted the Sexiest Woman in Asia 2000 by the Singapore FHM. The following year, she took
two sexy roles in the world-wide acclaimed Thai movie Jan Dara and in the movie
co-produced by France, India, Italy and Germany, Samsara. She is having a part in
Jackie Chan's new movie soon to be released Highbinders, directed by Gordon Chan
