Alphabetical order

Alan Tang Kwong Wing
"Gor Gor left in style, pity for those of us around him..."

Anita Mui Yim Fong
"From the initial pain, pain, pain, and my heart can't breath to later my heart being numb, unconscious, and I became very down. Gor Gor's passing has given everyone a message. People need care and love. Hong Kong right now has a lot of difficulties. If Gor Gor is still here, he would definitely tell me not to be afraid so we can get through this together."

very young Leslie & Anita"I feel more than pity and regret. Those days when he just left, I felt so heart pained that I could not utter a word. I felt that I have suddenly grown older by 10 years. I kept asking god, why did this happen? Until now, my mind is still filled with question marks. My friends and his friends were afraid that I could not handle it, they kept me company through this period, asking me to take care. A lot of people used other avenues to ask after me, this make me feel that there is warmth in this world.

He and I are good partners, good pals. 20 years ago, we started from scratch at 'Capitol artiste'. I just know that when he was around, I would feel more relieved; when I was around, he would feel more relieved. As his first concert, I would worry for him; I would be more at ease with me as his guest.

Hand in hand, we braved through many difficult times together. Whenever I was unhappy, and cried in the room, he would coax me, and I would be all right. Whenever he was unhappy, I would hold his hand, giving each other support. In order for him to rest in peace, I will be strong." Anita Yuen Wing Yi
Leslie, Anita Yuen & Anita Mui in Who's the Man, Who's the Woman"In April 1994, I worked on He's A Woman She's A Man. At the time I was still a new comer, but Gor Gor was already a superstar. Yet he did not act like one. The collaboration was very pleasant. He shared his experience with everyone. His willingness to help newcomers hopefully will continue on. He also gave me great memories, I really want to thank him. Now Hong Kong people are living under great pressure. Everyone has to help and care about friends and family more. Like Gor Gor's song says, 'Let others laugh and scold, live carefree'."

I really admire his self confidence and courage. Years later, he sang my praises to others as a good actor. Actually I have already taken a spot in his heart. With Gor Gor's passing, the sky suddenly seems to have one "bright star" less and only loneliness and emptiness remain. Gor Gor has said to me, 'Hok Yau, when will we work on a musical together?' John Woo (Ng Yue Sam)
"To me, he will always be Kit-Jai from A Better Tomorrow. Whether he is at his strongest moment or his weakest moment, he will always be a stand-up guy. Before when Chang Cheh and Roman Tam died, I cried when I heard the news. When I heard the news about Gor-Gor, I didn't shed one tear because my grief was so deep, my heart was shedding tears. Tears from the heart are the most bitter. Why was Heaven so unfair to him?"

Karena Lam Ka Yun
Leslie and Karena Lam in Inner Senses, Leslie's last movie"Gor Gor was a great partner. We had a lot of chemistry. He knew how to bring actors into an act, only because of that I was able to meet the director's demand. When I made this movie [Inner Sense] I was very fat and liked to laugh, so he called me chubby girl. Everytime we did a sad scene, he would come over with a smile and remind me, 'Chubby Girl, stop laughing.' Gor Gor was very focused. He got into a role quick and got out quick as well."

"He was an inspiration. He had the majesty of a superstar. His singing and acting were perfect and he had the looks to match. He was a perfect artist. He inspired me to work hard and improve my own skills. He was a very nice guy too. We went to the same restaurant once and he came over to say hello to me. One of my life's regrets will be that I didn't get a chance to work with him."

Kenny Bee
Leslie having fun on stage"When we see each other we are very happy, during a meal we can talk about any and everything. He knew about food, wine and fashion. He was very tasteful and we clicked. He even had a barrel of dirty jokes, but all of them are category III and cannot be broadcast. I can only say he was very funny, very direct.(…)
Today, I am sad just like you. The feeling cannot be described in just a few words. I was lucky that when he left I was not in Hong Kong. Otherwise I will be like others and cry all day and night. (…)
Although it happened already, I respect his decision but I am also very mad at his decision. Life is valuable, and does not completely belong to you alone. It also belonged to your family, friends, and even more your fans. Leaving just like that, how can we accept that!"

I don't know Mr. Tong, but four years ago I ran into them in France during the World Cup. At the time they were very happy. Last year I played golf with Gor Gor, he couldn't have been playing better!
