The kind of very fast the wu xia pian really starts to be blown. The style is besides there but it isn't very original, basic music is a remake of the music of the Last of Mohicans andAkira (unknown movies...), and it is too complex. So, it's a movie for those who really love Wu Xia Pan. **

Large historical fresco (big coproduction sino-HK) which is about the internal fights between various rebellious Generals who want to relieve the Empire Qin and would give power to the Han. Rosamund Kwan and Gong Li are the respective women of the two conquerors. Brothers and sisters, they would betray the links which linked them.

The production has the means of its ambitions : the battles between several thousands of soldier are worthy of Kurosawa, it is directed in real places. The scenes of action are realistic. It is good but much too serious. For historians of Old China. **

During a certain time (fortunately very short), there was in HK a fashion for films with kids disciples of Shaolin (Shaolin Popeye 1, 2 and 3 - Shaolin Kids - Dragon from Shaolin...) as gifted as their elder. It is a good idea, especially cause the fights are good. But it is really irritating when one must bear the jokes of these young actors in short trousers. Will your nephew or your cousin find that good, but you ? *

Full Throttle by Derek Yee with Andy Lau - Gigi Leung - Chin Kar Lok - David Wu - Paul Chun.
Andy Lau lived hard days with his father since his mother have died. Moreover, his girl friend is frightened each time that he takes his powerful motorbike. His best friend would become his stronger rival on the dangerous roads of HK, there are days where one would better stay at home.

This last consulting is also true for all those which would try to find the VCD to see this film. The only good thing is the motorbike race in the town. *

60 Million Dollar Man by Lee Lik Chi with Chow Sing Chi - Ng Man Tat - Gigi Leung.

Shing is a tainted kid whose father is filthy rich. He thinks that all can be bought, even the love of Sylvia, a friend of class. After a first failure, he decides to go to the house of Sylvia which is the girl of a notorious gangster. Thinking that his secrecies were discovered, the gangster does not hesitate to explode the car of the really unhappy Shing. An insane professor (TKK) give again life to him, Shing has a new body with extraordinary capacities of transformation into any object of the everyday life (toaster, microwave, sprinkler pipe, suction, etc)!!!!!!

Beginning normally, the film goes unrelentingly towards the most complete delirious in his second part. The most insane visual gags are possible. Parodying at certain times the Pull Fiction and The Mark, 60 Million $ Man must be seen. The three men Chow Sing Chi, Ng Man Tat and Tsui Kam Kong are worthy of the best Tex Avery (you must see Stephen Chow transformed into water closet). To be discovered urgently. ****
